Orientation on IPR and Cooperative Pre-Registration Seminar for the Santiago City Manufacturers
Mama Emz Food Product was one of the 56 MSME participants who attended the Orientation Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights and Cooperative Pre-registration Seminar for Santiago City Manufacturers. Through the collaborative efforts of the DTI Isabela Provincial Office and its Negosyo Center in Santiago City and the City Government Unit of Santiago through its City Cooperative Office, the seminar was conducted and was held at the City Mayor’s Office Conference room last October 11, 2019.
The seminar was about Intellectual Property Rights and its significance to the entrepreneur with well-known brands that have high value to encourage the MSMEs in registering their brand names and trademarks. The logos and brands used by the MSMEs in Region 02, were also presented and discussed by Engr. Janica Tacazon – IP Field Operations Specialist of the Intellectual Property Satellite Office – Tuguegarao.
She helps the participant to know and avail “Juana Make a Mark.” A trademark registration incentive program that allows the eligible MSMEs to have their trademarks registered at a reduced cost. Followed by Cooperative Pre-Registration Seminar facilitated by Mr. Romeo Tomas – Development Specialist from Cooperative Development Authority Isabela together with Engr. Rodelio D. Diego – City Cooperative Officer.
Facilitated by Ms. Isabel G. Sevilla – Junior Business Counselor in Santiago City, Mr. Carmelo E. Patricio Jr. – SSF Technical Assistant, Ms. Maria Corazon C. Mamuri – Trade and Industry Development Specialist of DTI Isabela and the Staff from the City Cooperative Office.
